The good road is closer than you think.We create intimate micro-experiences & parties built around food, story, craft, and movement for curious people who want to gather with purpose.Every ticket sold contributes to food security and international development causes we believe in, because every journey matters.

The Camino de Santiago is famous for its distance, but what people remember is never the miles. It is the meal that lasted three hours, the conversation that changed something, the skill learned from a stranger, and the landscape that asked them to slow down.Buen Camino was built on the belief that those moments are available to all of us, right where we live. Our micro-experiences are designed to give you exactly that, a full and hearty journey packed into an evening, an afternoon, a walk, or time at a workbench.And because no journey means much if it only serves the traveler, every Buen Camino event contributes directly to food security and international development organizations working to make the road more equal for everyone.Small moments. Founder & CEO

As a translation professional, Robert has focused his career on navigating unknowns and complex challenges through the help of language.

Growing up in rural Ohio, he discovered his passion for connecting people, ideas, and linguistic barriers, both in his small community and eventually across borders, through language learning, service projects, and work opportunities.

After graduating from Georgetown University, Robert pursued a career that took him to diverse destinations both in the USA and worldwide. As a civilian contractor, he received high quality military-grade language services training & gained valuable experience working in all over the world.

Although Robert specializes in technical translations from foreign languages into English, his eclectic background ranges from security consulting, start-ups, charitable organizations, recruiting, and even a stint in construction ops and beer warehouse janitor duties! This experience taught him adaptability and the value of diverse perspectives.

The inspiration for this company & its name, Buen Camino, come from Robert's personal connection and admiration for the story of the Camino de Santiago. The Camino de Santiago, or Way of St. James, is a pilgrimage route, marked by seashell symbols, recreating St. James the Apostle's long and arduous journey during his traveling ministry. The paths span all over Europe, and eventually lead to the Northwestern coast of Galicia, Spain in Santiago de Compostela. The famed "¡Buen Camino!" greeting is said to fellow travelers on the Camino, who make the same long journey to seek peace, health, healing, and adventure. As a child, Robert's family briefly lived in an area in Northern Spain (Principado de Asturias) where the Camino passed through; and the Camino story has captivated Robert ever since.

Robert is committed to guiding businesses and individuals through global communication and work & travel abroad and is fueled by a passion for connection and exploration.
